Bitchin Kitchen – 2 Cafes Now For Sale

March 21, 2017

Business Overview
Bitchin Kitchin is a vibrant and funky food bar, cafe and catering business offering delicious, freshly made food that is created in-house at their two stores:

  • 229 Charters Towers Road, Mysterton (established November 2015)
  • Warrina Shopping Centre, 3-5 Illuka Street, Currajong (established December 2016)

The vendors really have created a wonderful atmosphere for their cafes, reminiscent of cafes in Melbourne. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen family circumstances overseas, the vendors have been forced to place their beloved cafes on the market.

The business buys local and fresh where possible especially direct from the farmer or locally owned businesses. It supports and partakes in environmentally friendly practices such as recycling and reusing, purchasing biodegradable and sustainably made takeaway cups/plates/cutlery, purchasing RSPCA approved chicken, buying local free range eggs and supporting sustainable farming practices.

Bitchin Kitchin’s menu is centred around sumptuous seasonal ingredients used creatively. The offerings are changed regularly in order to provide culinary variety to customers and to keep everything fresh. Vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options are available.

There is an ala carte menu for breakfast and lunch and also mouth watering “made-to-go” delights in the cabinet ready for busy customers who are on the run and don’t have the time to sit down for a meal. Fix coffee is sold by the business, with Bitchin Kitchin being only one of two businesses in Townsville who sell this well regarded brand of coffee.

The vendors have established a great catering division of the business which brings in a good portion of the income. The catering menu is customised to suit the preferences and budget of every client. Bitchin Kitchin can cater for casual gatherings, corporate luncheons or even weddings, and catering to people with special dietary needs is no problem.
